How to add a site?

  1. Open Article Generator Task
  2. Custom Sources Tab
  3. [Edit Custom Sources] button (might be hidden by drop down arrow)
  4. Click on "+" append at bottom of grid
  5. Fill out details
  6. Click [Save] button
How does it work?

Not to much to custom sources, this is what SCM does with it.

1. Set url, eg example.com

2. Leave xpath to //body

3. Select Bing/Bing Cache/Google for the SE (if blank it defaults to Bing)

When SCM runs a search it does

site:example.com keyword

So it passes the domain of the site as is into the search engine.

Some sites have all articles like

example.com/articles

So you can set it as

Url = example.com/articles

In the custom site url grid

When it comes to search, it will pass...

site:example.com/articles

As you can see very simple.

For xpath, not really required as SCM can detect content on a page.

But some sites may have problems, then you use xpath.

What is xpath?
